Police order minibus for SEVEN firearms officers and their hefty kit — but were sent Mini Cooper instead… – The Sun

The confused officers were sent a Mini Cooper hatchback when they needed a seven-seat vehicle to transport police officers and their firearms
POLICE who ordered a minibus to transport seven firearms officers were sent a Mini instead.
The shot in the foot came as they needed to move themselves and their hefty kit from Exeter, Devon, to Launceston in Cornwall.
They asked for a minibus but were left dumbstruck when they received the small city hatchback instead.
Devon and Cornwall Firearms Commander Sergeant Harry Tangye revealed the mix-up to his 23,000 Twitter followers where he posted a photo of himself with the car.
Alongside the snap he wrote: “That time when you have seven officers and kit to get to a different town and you request a ‘mini’ bus hire vehicle.”
He added: “We asked for a large seven seater as we have kit that is half the size of us again and they got us a family saloon car with 2 child seats.”
Another cop tweeted: “Amateur stuff Sarge, always tick estate and automatic for guaranteed luxury.”
But soon Harry and his colleagues were firing on all cylinders with new transport and were busy doing firearms training.
