Payment of rents by credit cards is the latest incentive being offered to cash-strapped customers by a leading Abu Dhabi property developer subsequent to its rent-to-own scheme.

Aldar Properties said on Monday its customers would be given an option to pay their rent by credit card starting from August 17.

The developer said the offer is in line with the company’s “ongoing efforts to offer convenient and flexible payment solutions”.

“Residents will initially be able to pay their rent by credit card in person via Provis, Aldar’s real estate management company, with online and mobile payment facilities to follow,” Aldar said.

Meqdad Al Mubarak, executive director, portfolio management at Aldar Properties, said the new payment method would offer considerable value to tenants. “We look forward to innovating even more customer journeys moving forward,” said the developer. Aldar has been offering customers other innovative solutions, including virtual tours of all available units and rent-to-own purchasing options.

“Residents can choose to make advance rent payments using UAE-registered credit cards on a yearly, quarterly or monthly basis and all credit card fees will be paid by Aldar. The service will be available to all customers renting at Aldar-owned residential properties across all of the company’s communities,” said Aldar.

Aldar’s rent-to-own schemes are offered across the company’s developments including West Yas, Ansam, Al Hadeel, and Meera.
