Did you ever imagine yourself exploring the jungles, mountains, and deserts without leaving your home behind? Well, let us break it to you that you can make it happen, even at a time when most of us are hesitant about making travel plans. Given the health risks involved, the pandemic made travel enthusiasts reconsider their vacations. Caravan tourism which is a common concept in the West has finally picked up in India. Even though resorts and hotels are taking all possible measures to ensure a safe stay, travellers are not fully confident of taking the plunge, and rightly so.
For the uninitiated, a campervan is a mini home-on-wheels which lets you travel to any destination of your choice without compromising on luxury or comfort. You not only save money on airfare, accommodation, and local transport but also maintain distance from strangers.
Here’s a list of five best campervans you can hire in India and take off to your dream destination.
Table of Contents
Luxe Camper is India’s first fully-equipped premium camper van that Karnataka tourism came up with in June. It promises to ensure safe travel during the pandemic and change the concept of travel in India. From historic places to pristine beaches and sanctuaries, the camper takes you everywhere. You can visit Gokarna beach, Bandipur National Park, Hampi, Kabini forest, and Bheemeshwari among other places. Their price ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 74,000 for two people, depending on the place you visit.
The camper can accommodate eight people. It has cozy seats that can be converted into comfy beds. It doesn’t end there. It also has a fully functional kitchen where you can cook your own food. It also includes an electric kettle, induction stove, a toaster, a microwave and a fridge. To top it all, it has a TV and a music system too.
